# Version 0.52.0

## <u>Features</u>

* **Sign in to an access gateway in your browser.** `lager login <url> --web` opens the sign-in
  page of the auth server in your browser. You sign in there and approve the request, and the CLI
  never asks for a password. This is the only way to sign in for an account that uses single
  sign-on (SSO) and has no password. See
  [Signing in with a browser](/source/reference/cli/login#signing-in-with-a-browser).
* **Sign in from a computer with no browser.** `lager login <url> --no-browser` shows a link and
  waits. Open the link on any computer, approve the request, and paste the code that the page
  shows into the terminal. Use it on a computer that you connect to over SSH.

## <u>Known Limitations</u>

* **Browser sign-in needs an auth server that supports it.** A server without it makes
  `lager login --web` fail with `does not support browser sign-in`. Sign in with a password on
  that server. The HTTP contract for a server is in section 3.4 of
  `docs/reference/gateway-auth-contract.md`.

To install this version:

```bash theme={null}
pip install lager-cli==0.52.0
```

To upgrade from a previous version:

```bash theme={null}
pip install --upgrade lager-cli==0.52.0
```

Then update your boxes:

```bash theme={null}
lager update --box <box-name>
```
